Your Role
Do you want to contribute to supporting the continued operation of Swedish-made passenger aircraft?
The Saab 340 and Saab 2000 were manufactured by Saab in Linköping between 1983 and 1999. Both the Saab 340 and Saab 2000 are twin-engine turboprop aircraft with seating for 34 and 50 passengers, respectively. Today, we maintain a flying fleet around the world, and as a design engineer for the Saab 340 and Saab 2000, you will support our operators in their continued operation of the aircraft.
The role of Structural Design Engineer offers a challenging and developing opportunity to combine independent work with close collaboration in a team. In this position, you will work on structural repairs, design, and analysis for the Saab 340 and Saab 2000 platforms. You will also provide technical support to our engineering teams by answering questions and assisting with troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications related to the aircraft structures.

Main Responsibilities;
- Design structural repairs and modifications to ensure airworthiness and compliance with applicable aviation regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain structural integrity and adhere to relevant standards and certification requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and support to engineering teams, as well as manage complex issues and technical challenges.
- Lead tasks and projects within various technical areas, primarily focusing on structural design and analysis.
- Travel may occur in connection with projects and customer support.
Your Profile

We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field. Alternatively, experience in aircraft maintenance, aircraft production, or similar industries with a focus on structural work.
- Good proficiency in relevant software, such as Office 365.
- Good command of English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Swedish is an advantage.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- The ability to work both independently and in a team.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel for work.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
It is particularly positive if you also have experience or knowledge in any of the following areas:
- Experience with Saab 340 and Saab 2000.
- Experience in structural design, preferably from the aviation industry.
- Knowledge of CATIA V4 and/or V5.
- Knowledge of aviation regulations and certification processes.
